Liz brings over 17 years of experience in higher education, focusing on student success, retention, and community-building. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with enrollment teams, marketing, and academic departments, recognizing the importance of strong partnerships in supporting student success. Liz excels at connecting students, staff, faculty, and families through clear communication, collaboration, and relationship-building, creating environments where students feel supported and engaged.
As a first-generation college student, Liz was deeply influenced by the guidance she received from her advisor at Boston College. This experience inspired her to transition from a career in advertising to pursue a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Northwestern University, where she began her work in higher ed.
Liz’s career in higher education began as Northwestern’s Director of Orientation and Parent Programs, where she developed initiatives that ensured a smooth transition for incoming students and their families, streamlining communication and creating a cohesive student experience for traditional, transfer and international students.
In addition to her work with enrollment, Liz contributed to marketing and branding efforts to clearly communicate Northwestern’s values and student experience to prospective students and families.
Later, Liz co-created Northwestern’s PATH Program, collaborating with academic and student affairs offices to provide targeted support for students. Her relationship-building skills were key in expanding the program beyond the School of Engineering to serve students across multiple departments. The program has since extended to other universities, supporting students through academic challenges.
In addition to her work in higher education, Liz has also consulted with K-12 private and charter schools, focusing on student retention and supporting faculty and staff development. Throughout her career, Liz has remained dedicated to student success, managing complex teams, and working directly with students to improve retention and enrollment. She believes that strong partnerships across departments are key to creating environments where students feel supported and empowered to succeed.
Liz currently resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with her family and two dogs. They enjoy camping, hiking, skiing, and anything that gets them outdoors.
